Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional leader to oversee the operations of our regional rehoming hubs, foster network, customer service teams, and intake. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and deliver financial efficiency without compromising on care quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-performing teams to ensure excellence in welfare, care, and rehoming practice across multiple locations.
  • Manage dog movements and intake, making welfare-focused decisions to match each dog with the most suitable care pathway.
  • Provide clear leadership, supporting and developing team managers and their teams through coaching, performance management, and strategic guidance.
  • Drive projects such as SOP rollouts, IT upgrades, and operational process enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of care and service.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong track record in recruitment, performance management, and staff development.
  • Strategic thinking, organisational skills, and ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Financial acumen, budget setting, and expenditure control.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to use data and reporting to inform decision-making.
  • Emotional resilience and solutions-focused mindset.
  • A knowledge of dogs and their welfare requirements.
  • Previous experience in a kennel, animal welfare, or rehoming environment.
