Overview
About the Role: We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to deliver high-value engineering projects across Power & Renewables and M&E sectors.
You will provide technical leadership from project inception through to construction, commissioning, and energisation, with a focus on HV electrical systems.
This role offers exposure to electrical installations up to 400kV and opportunities to grow your technical and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and delivery of HV substation and industrial installation projects.
Approve technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure technical compliance.
Support procurement by preparing technical scopes and evaluating vendor proposals.
Conduct site inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and provide commissioning support.
Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
Lead and mentor a small team of project engineers.
Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, EN standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years' experience in engineering design/project management for industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of HV and MV networks, resilience requirements, and energy management systems.
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and budget, managing multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Process-driven, quality-focused, and safety-conscious mindset.
Strong IT skills and record-keeping abilities.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and graduates.
