Distribution Centre Systems Support

Job Scope:Intersport Elverys is a recognised market leader and innovator in sports retail and our retail network in the Irish market now stands at 44 stores.The Intersport Elverys brand is one of the biggest supporters of Irish sport – championing participation at every level, from grassroots clubs and community events to elite teams and athletes on the national stage.Our commitment goes beyond sponsorship; it's about helping to build a healthier, more active Ireland by supporting the communities where sport lives and grows.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting an existing inventory management system in our Distribution Warehouse and ongoing changes.Due to the nature and responsibilities of this role, the successful candidate will be based onsite in our HQ in Castlebar, Co.Mayo.The DC Systems Support will:Provide primary support to the warehouse and stores for the inventory system and all related sub-systems and processes, notably the primary systems (WMS ERP) and secondary sub-systems (WCS, POS, Shopify).BAU support responsibility covers software and hardware (PC's, printers and scanners) required by the inventory system and the related sub-systems.Manage support up to resolution, including steering of the issue and follow-up with the appropriate technical team and/or external service provider.Proactively monitor and identify inventory system support trends and recurrences.Assist DC Systems Analyst with testing and following up on root cause issues, including application updates/fixes and data fixes.Check and provide input to application guideline documentation.Do routine support related to inventory data monitoring for the primary systems (WMS ERP) to ensure they remain aligned (zero stock discrepancy) and that discrepancy exceptions are managed on a routine daily basis as per the inventory management process in place.Work closely with functional IT specialists, external service providers and the affected users/teams to support them through any inventory systems change.Support system changes for specific improvements and projects as required.Support testing and contribute/check related test documentation as required.Support the business' sustainability Impact Strategy through proactive promotion of economic, environmental and social initiatives undertaken, aimed at ensuring our ambition to be circular in every aspect of our business by **** is realised.Experience, Qualifications Skills:3 years relevant IT support experience, preferably from a warehouse/manufacturing/ industrial or logistics backgroundInventory systems, WMS and/or ERP experienceDatabase systems experience, eg.Microsoft TSQL, Oracle PLSQLShopify experience and understanding would be beneficial to add value to this roleDetail oriented, able to work at low level transactions and complete data analysisAnalytical skills with a focus on critical thinking and business processesCustomer awareness and previous customer support experienceUnderstanding of computer networking and supporting users and devices across a networkBasic hardware skills and previous PC, printer and scanner support experienceFluent English with effective and professional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment while also being an individual contributorExcellent time management and time awarenessAbility to organize and prioritise a variety of tasks and projectsNote: This Job description is not a static document and doesn't propose to cover every aspect of this role.Duties and responsibilities of this role may vary in the future.We regret we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role so only candidates based in Ireland with an EU passport or valid visa should apply.
