Fixed Term Full Time Lead Cook Daughters of Charity Community Services 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1. The Daughters of Charity Community Services (DoCCS), located at 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, is a community-based organisation providing a range of educational, training and social care services for children, young people and adults living in Dublins North Inner City. Our services are targeted to individuals and families experiencing socio-economic and educational disadvantage. The organisation is currently recruiting a Lead Cook to join the organisation. The lead cook will work in the Senior Citizens Service with oversight of CTC and HACE Services to ensure the best service possible to all participants. The details of the role are as follows, Full Time Lead Cook Contract: 1 year fixed term full-time contract - 31.5 hours per week Reporting to: Senior Citizens Service Manager Salary:- €36000 to €39000 depending on skills and experience. Annual Leave:The annual leave for the position is 23 days, with additional service days at times set by the organisation. Hours and location of Work:The working hours are: Monday to Thursday 08.30am to 15.00pm Friday 08.30am to 14.00pm The successful candidate will work from our location at 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1. Duties will include: Be the lead person in the kitchen for all services Ordering and Receiving food deliveries to the kitchen and maintain accurate records of same and managing stock control in line with budget and approval of manager Food production for seniors, oversight of food delivery for CTC & liaise with HACE service Maintaining HACCP records, safe catering and maintaining logs Generate and maintain service log for kitchen equipment in line relevant to funder and maintenance records Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen & dining room to ensure areas are left clean and safe at all times. Food preparation, food production including food for Meal on Wheels service Ensuring the production, presentation & service of food is to a high standard. Oversight of menus with service managers Serving meals, both in-house and meals on wheels. Essential Requirements: At least 2 years catering experience (to include cooking for a large number of clients with various dietary requirements). Training to HACCP standard. An ability to work as part of a team. Understanding of the needs of senior citizens. Knowledge of menu planning. The ability to use your initiative and be able to anticipate the kitchen needs. To cater for events outside of normal working hours when required. Have experience of working as part of a team and of leading a team, Knowledge of Microsoft office an advantage The role is subject to Garda Vetting, Foreign Police Clearance and two recent and relevant reference checks.
