TITLE: Food and Beverage SupervisorMAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Supervise food and beverage operations to ensure quality service and standards while delivering a guest experience that is unique.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAttend or read the handover briefing at the beginning of your shift to ensure that you are aware of any special requirements for the day.Follow all standards as outlined in your department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documents.Comprehensive knowledge of Food & Beverage service standards, quality presentation, beverage products, health & safety and sanitation standardsPreparing department for opening / closingA strong knowledge of beverages, beverage control and revenue maximizationA strong knowledge of food menu items, preparation and presentationAbility to manage changes in room set-up at short notice professionallyAbility to lead and develop a team of full time and part time employees.To ensure that all employees are familiar with all products on offerDemonstrate an ability to use interpersonal styles and methods to accomplish goals with the help of other employees.Demonstrate assertiveness to instruct, firmly represent organisational standards and goals, or discipline as necessaryTo support effectively and positively the necessary operational changes which will be made collectively for the continued development of the departmentTo demonstrate the ability to adapt to environmental as well as internal organisational change through understanding the impact of change and the positive management of changeDemonstrate an ability to develop a strong working relationship with other by being fair, open, reliable and consistentDemonstrate an ability to keep on-going interdepartmental relationships, informing them of potential problems and project progress necessary for all departments to function most effectivelyMaintain effective and appropriate liaison with our guests.Demonstrate an ability to take into account the needs and feelings of different cultures and different backgroundsTo write the procedures for the SOP manual pertaining to service standards.To assist in the setting up and implementation of training records.To recognise and help employees with their training needsCreate an environment where employees can take responsibility and authority for their work and developmentDemonstrate an ability to provide prompt corrective, as well as supportive, feedbackActively participate in Food & Beverage briefings when requiredPresent suggestions for improvements at Food & Beverage MeetingCommunicate all staff recruitment requirements/problems/achievements to ManagerConduct a briefing at the beginning of every shiftDemonstrate an ability to communicate informally and effectively with all co-workers, in one-on-one or small group settings, through clear expression of ideas and thoughts and active listeningDemonstrate an awareness of the importance of non-verbal communication in interaction with othersActively monitor the hotels communication channels and share this knowledge with the team when necessaryJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From €***** per hourAbility to commute/relocate:Galway, CO.Galway: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Supervising: 2 years (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
