Lead Data Analyst

About the Role
You will be a lead in the Data Analytics team, with a mix of technical and project management responsibilities.
You will work effectively with data engineers, software engineers, data scientists, product managers and commercial stakeholders.
You will be integral in completing in-depth technical analysis, presenting results, liaising with stakeholders and ensuring the timely and effective delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead exploration of complex datasets (including geospatial data) to uncover trends and insights
Design, develop and own dashboards and reports that track key business and operational metrics
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of analytics initiatives ensuring they meet business objectives and stakeholder needs
Act as a point of contact for project updates, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication across all relevant stakeholders
Identify potential roadblocks in project delivery and proactively implement solutions to mitigate risks and ensure successful outcomes
Engineer robust data pipelines and transformation workflows to ensure reliable, high-quality data is readily available for analytics and decision-making
Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of the business and our customers by effectively communicating results to cross functional groups
Mentor and support team members, conducting code reviews, pairing sessions and workshops to cultivate a collaborative culture
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years experience in a Data Analytics role managing end-to-end projects, ideally within a fast paced B2B environment
Hold a BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Science or other related technical field
Highly proficient in SQL and familiar working with cloud-based data-warehouses (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
Skilled at designing, building and maintaining dashboards and reports using Looker, Tableau, Power BI or similar tools
Demonstrated experience managing and delivering analytics initiatives in production environments
Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights
Effective communicator who can clearly explain complex topics to a variety of audiences
