Site Foreman Renovation Project (12-Month Contract) Location: Cork City Centre Salary: 50,000 70,000 DOE Contract Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Fixed Term Industry: Construction / Property Category: Foreman / Site Management Job Overview We are currently recruiting a Site Foreman for a major renovation project involving a 5-storey building in Cork City Centre.

This is a high-profile, technically engaging refurbishment that combines structural upgrades with heritage conservation.

The ideal candidate will have experience supervising teams on refurbishment or retrofit projects, with a working knowledge of conservation standards and fire safety compliance.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a skilled, collaborative team on a landmark development, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities and workforce.

Ensure adherence to the construction programme, working closely with the project manager and subcontractors.

Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient site, in line with health and safety standards.

Liaise with consultants to ensure proper handling of protected elements.

Monitor quality of workmanship and compliance with fire safety regulations.

Maintain site records including daily diaries, labour, materials, and progress tracking.

Conduct regular site meetings and toolbox talks.

Proactively solve on-site issues and maintain smooth workflow.

Candidate Requirements Previous experience as a Foreman in building or renovation works.

Proven background in supervising complex projects Knowledge of conservation best practices and fire safety standards.

Trade background or construction qualification preferred.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates.

Desirable Skills Experience with structural preservation, or listed buildings.

Understanding of fire compartmentation and passive fire protection systems.

First Aid, CIF Site Supervisor, and Safe Pass training advantageous.
