Role Overview In this dynamic role, the Specialist Construction Products Manager will be at the forefront of driving sales growth and market expansion for an ever-expanding portfolio of construction materials.

With a blend of strategic vision and technical expertise, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities, develop innovative strategies, and deliver quality solutions tailored to the needs of the Irish construction industry.

By leveraging your knowledge in product performance and market trends, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our product lines amidst a competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development Lead the sales process for a range of construction materials, from identifying opportunities to closing deals and providing after-sales support.

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, contractors, architects, and industry stakeholders.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including OEM and project-based sales.

Product & Market Management Maintain expert knowledge of the companys construction product portfolio and market trends.

Collaborate with internal teams to support new product launches and enhancements.

Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform product positioning and sales tactics.

Report monthly to the Director of Roofing on revenue and margin performance and prepare a business review report covering other areas of importance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the purchasing, logistics, warehousing, customer service, and marketing teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure product availability and resolve any supply chain issues.

Support the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to product management and sales Operational Excellence Monitor sales performance, prepare regular reports, and provide accurate sales forecasts.

Attend product training, supplier visits, and industry events as required.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards, and company policies and feedback any items of note internally.

Qualifications & Experience Education: Third level university qualification (Bachelors degree or higher) in a Sales and Marketing discipline or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience selling a range of construction materials, with a proven record of achieving sales and margin targets while managing key stakeholders internally and externally.

Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction materials, industry standards, and market dynamics.

Technical Skills: Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for advanced data analysis, Power Point for creating impactful presentations, and Word for drafting and editing technical documents; ability to interpret technical specifications and documents.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments and with external partners.

Other: Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Attributes Extensive experience in product development and market research spanning multiple sectors within the construction industry, including hardware, materials, and sustainable solutions.

Established network of industry contacts, particularly in the Irish and UK construction markets.

Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications.
