Portfolio Construction Specialist

Role Overview:

The Portfolio Construction Analyst will be responsible for managing discretionary client portfolios in conjunction with agreed client mandate and Investment Committee guidance.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Significant client portfolio analysis with a strong focus on asset allocation, performance and risk drifts
  2. Acting as a point of contact between the team and Client Advisers on all investment issues
  3. Work closely with the Investment Strategy & Investment Selection teams to ensure that core portfolios deliver on their goals

Requirements:

  • Relevant 3rd level Degree or Masters in business/finance/accountancy or engineering
  • APA Savings and Investments qualification or equivalent is desirable
  • Willingness to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  • Excellent information technology capability, including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg Analytics tools, such as PORT would be beneficial
  • Demonstrable interest and understanding of investments and financial markets
