Job Title: Portfolio Construction Software Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying cloud-native tech stack systems leveraging Kubernetes and modern CI/CD approaches. We primarily use React on the frontend and Python and Node.js on the backend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and review code for systems that support business objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support for the Portfolio Construction platform.
  • Participate in application design and architecture reviews to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Engage in an agile, iterative software development process to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Break down complex problems into simple, creative, and effective solutions to drive business outcomes.
  • Build solutions for high availability, observability, and maintainability to ensure system reliability.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality applications.
  • At least 2 years of experience with cloud-based service-oriented architecture and web services.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (Engineering/Mathematics/Computer Science).
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Go, or Java.
  • Strong background in databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and data pipelines.
  • Experience in designing, delivering, and securing data-rich web applications.
  • Experience in a front office support environment with effective communication skills for interacting with business stakeholders.
  • Exposure to web programming and related frameworks (e.g., HTML, JS, React).
  • Interest in finance and ability to quickly learn new business concepts.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, analytical skills, and resourcefulness with a proven record of ownership and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
