Portfolio Construction Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Lead Engineer to join our Portfolio Construction team. As a key member of our agile team, you will be responsible for delivering solutions that aid in driving world-class Portfolio Management and Business Operations teams through investment strategy, portfolio management, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and review code, and deploy systems that support the business.
  • Provide support for all aspects of the Portfolio Construction platform.
  • Participate in application design and architecture reviews.
  • Engage in an agile, iterative software development process.
  • Closely collaborate with business, product, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Break down complex problems into simple, creative, and effective solutions.
  • Build solutions for high availability, observability, and maintainability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with cloud-based service-oriented architecture and web services.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (Engineering/Mathematics/Computer Science).
  • Advanced knowledge of Python, Node.js, Go, or Java with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data and web applications.
  • Strong background in databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and data pipelines.
  • Experience in designing, delivering, and securing data-rich web applications.
  • Experience in front office support environments with effective communication skills for interacting with business stakeholders.
  • Exposure to web programming and related frameworks (e.g., HTML, JS, React).
  • Interest in finance and ability to quickly learn new business concepts.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, analytical skills, and resourcefulness with a proven record of ownership and delivery in fast-paced and dynamic business environments.
