Motor Claims Team Leader Our client is a global insurance leader providing a comprehensive range of solutions across motor, property, liability, and financial lines for both commercial and personal customers.

They are recruiting for an experienced Motor Claims Team Leader to join the Dublin team.
This position combines leadership responsibility with complex claims handling, offering the opportunity to manage a team of claims handlers, while retaining a hands-on caseload of liability-disputed, theft, fraud, and motor claims.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dual-function position, bringing strong technical claims acumen together with people leadership, coaching, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support a team of motor claims handlers Conduct quality audits and file reviews to ensure best practices and compliance Act as the team's complaints champion, resolving escalations and promoting a customer-first culture Oversee daily workflow, capacity planning, and performance management Deliver coaching, identify training needs, and contribute to the team's continuous development Manage a personal caseload of complex motor claims, including fraud, theft, and liability disputes Review policy cover, gather evidence, and make informed settlement decisions within authority levels Handle technical referrals and support junior team members with decision-making Maintain accurate reserving and ensure SLA compliance across the team Identify and refer subrogation and fraud cases appropriately What You'll Bring 5+ years' experience in motor claims handling, ideally in a complex or disputed context Previous experience or a strong appetite for team leadership or coaching CIP qualification (or actively working towards) preferred Strong understanding of motor policy wordings, reserving, liability, and fraud indicators Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - comfortable dealing with complaints, escalations, and team feedback A proactive mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and team success Ability to manage a caseload alongside team oversight in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Why Apply?
