Senior Postgre SQL DBA Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Postgre SQL Database Administrator for a long-term contract role supporting a public sector migration project.
The position involves transitioning an internal application from MS Access to Postgre SQL and developing a web-based front end.
Responsibilities: Lead database migration and modernisation efforts Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a secure, optimised solution Support front-end development of the new web interface Maintain clear technical documentation Ensure best practices in backup, recovery, and database performance Technical Skills: 6+ years' experience with Postgre SQL and SQL Solid knowledge of Linux and scripting Experience with web UI development Strong database design, security, and optimisation skills Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field Applicants must be eligible to work full-time in Ireland without restriction.
