Opportunity to join and play a key role on the Global Payroll team as the Ireland Payroll Manager based in Cork.
This position requires a high level of competency in payroll management, problem-solving and communication to ensure the efficient functioning of payroll operations in Ireland.
You will play a crucial role to ensure accurate, timely and compliant payroll processing while supervising cross-geo payroll team members and collaborating with HR and management.
Major Duties & Responsibilities: As a key member of Global Payroll team and the Payroll Manager responsible for overseeing Ireland payrolls, you will be responsible for: The supervision and coordination of payroll processing operations, ensuring tax compliance Oversight and guidance on unique payroll tax situations/adjustments Performing the final review of payroll ensuring that processes and audits are completed and that the payroll and all components (time worked, shift differentials, sick, disability, deductions, etc.) are calculated accurately Preparing monthly statistical reporting on employee pay, bonus, hours worked, sick, disability etc.
for management review Working with the team to resolve payroll errors and assist with employee queries.
Meeting with HR, benefits, and local management regarding changes in policy, shifts or addressing escalations.
Partnering with HR on new hire training Handling special projects as needed Coordinating end to end testing on new processes with business users Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in relevant field essential IPASS payroll certification a plus Experience Required7+ years of payroll experience in managing Ireland payroll, including end-to-end payroll processing and reporting Experience with Union environments Strong understanding and commitment to stay current on Ireland taxation policy and payroll related schemes Proficiency in various payroll applications and databases, such as ADP Global View, SAP Payroll, UKG Dimensions, Kronos Workforce Central, Workday, or Core HRAdvanced skills in MS Excel, including pivots, V-lookups, and formulas.
Knowledge of macros is a plus.
Exceptional customer service skills with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.
Professional demeanour and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Innovative thinker capable of identifying methods to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to investigate root causes of recurring problems and implement lasting solutions.
