Job Overview

Talbot Hotel Cork, part of the Talbot Collection, is recruiting for a Full & Part-time Leisure Centre Attendant/Swim Teacher/Fitness Trainer. The successful candidate will support daily operations of the Leisure Centre and deliver organized swim classes in line with 4-star standards. The role emphasizes exceptional service, safety, and a welcoming environment. The Leisure Centre Attendant/Swim Teacher/Fitness Trainer will report to the Leisure Centre Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct programmes and assessments
  • Teach fitness classes and swimming lessons
  • Supervise the swimming pool area
  • Ensure safety standards are met
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
  • Provide high-quality customer service
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Ensure participant safety during classes
  • Instruct and evaluate swim students
  • Prepare for swim lessons (facilities, equipment, lifeguarding)
  • Organize and execute swim lessons, including class assignments
Candidate Requirements
  • Friendly, professional attitude
  • Assistant or Full WSI, Swim Ireland Swim Teacher, or equivalent qualification
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Availability for variable shifts, including weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Reps Ireland group fitness instructor or relevant qualification
  • Previous relevant experience is advantageous
