A leading multinational medical device company wishes to recruit a Production Team Leader to join their team. This is an important position responsible for the day-to-day operational activities to achieve weekly targets and on-going performance metrics.

The Team Leader will be responsible for his/her area and be accountable for all aspects of the team's performance.

The role is based in north Dublin, but will require occasional international travel. Some flexibility on hours also required.

Salary: to 55k

Benefits: Bonus, Pension (up to 10%), Healthcare, 25 Days Holidays, Shift Allowance, Gym, Life Assurance, Canteen Facilities, Tax Saver Scheme, Overtime available @1.5 or double time

Overall package: up to €77,000 Excluding overtime.

Key Duties:


• To Organise, Task Manage, Plan and Prioritise

• Headcount Management

• To provide Training Management-cross training, multi-skilling, job-rotation

• To conduct recruitment and induction

• Production planning

• To guide others to problem solve by teaching/advising.

• Conduct trouble shooting support and root cause analysis.

• To provide hands-on support.

• Ensure good communication is maintained with direct reports as well as senior management.

• Ensuring progress is monitored, and problems and solutions are both identified and recorded.

• Inventory control

• PDCA meetings, A3, 3i, 6 Sigma, Kaizen events

The Candidate:

• Candidate ideally should have 2-5 years in a similar manufacturing environment.

• Strong people leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are required.

• Strong planning and analytical/problem solving skills required.

• Knowledge and experience of Materials/Inventory planning systems is essential.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.

• SAP experience.

• Good understanding of production management and processes.

• Experience with electromechanical, mechatronics, chemical, systems integration is preferable.

• Skilled in the use of lean principles, 5S, Kaizen, Waste elimination.
