  • Identify and maintain spare parts and tools to ensure timely maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repair optimal equipment as required by preventative maintenance schedules and suggest improvements.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Ensure spare parts in stock for all major process' and equipment.
  • Supporting Production on a shift basis as required.
  • Continuous improvement of production process equipment, by identifying and implementing improvement projects that will improve the operating effectiveness of equipment.
  • Coordination and liaison with vendors, site contractors and external specialist contractors, engaged in work on site
  • Performs maintenance in compliance with health and safety regulations, procedures and accepted practices.
  • Reading, analysing and interpreting technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, to carry out work.
  • Communicating existing and potential issues with Supervisor/Maintenance Manager.
Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • (Dis)Assembling/Installing new machines, conditioning & monitoring sensors/equipment etc.

Person Specification
  • Experience of hands-on of mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, grinding & milling machines
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of a variety of machines with respect to maintenance and repair
  • Should have sufficient experience in pneumatic, hydraulics, mechanics, electrics
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Strong Problem -Solving Skills.
  • Good Team Member Skills.
  • Well organised and ability to organise tasks.
  • Available to work overtime including weekends, Public Holidays as required.
  • Qualification in Industrial Automated Technician advantageous or background in Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical and/or Electrical Knowledge.
