
Technician - Maintenance

Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and maintain spare parts and tools to ensure timely maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repair optimal equipment as required by preventative maintenance schedules and suggest improvements.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure spare parts in stock for all major process' and equipment.
- Supporting Production on a shift basis as required.
- Continuous improvement of production process equipment, by identifying and implementing improvement projects that will improve the operating effectiveness of equipment.
- Coordination and liaison with vendors, site contractors and external specialist contractors, engaged in work on site
- Performs maintenance in compliance with health and safety regulations, procedures and accepted practices.
- Reading, analysing and interpreting technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, to carry out work.
- Communicating existing and potential issues with Supervisor/Maintenance Manager.
- (Dis)Assembling/Installing new machines, conditioning & monitoring sensors/equipment etc.
- Experience of hands-on of mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, grinding & milling machines
- In depth knowledge and understanding of a variety of machines with respect to maintenance and repair
- Should have sufficient experience in pneumatic, hydraulics, mechanics, electrics
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Strong Problem -Solving Skills.
- Good Team Member Skills.
- Well organised and ability to organise tasks.
- Available to work overtime including weekends, Public Holidays as required.
- Qualification in Industrial Automated Technician advantageous or background in Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical and/or Electrical Knowledge.
