Overview

Trainee Automotive Mechanic / Service Technician – Cork. Join to apply for the Trainee Automotive Mechanic / Service Technician – Cork role at Tesla. This is a 24-month training programme starting 1 February 2026, full-time (shift based, including weekends). Training will be conducted at Tesla facilities in Heathrow and/or Manchester, with opportunities across UK & Ireland locations including Cork and Dublin.

What You'll Do
  • Learn and understand how to perform basic inspections, repairs & maintenance of Tesla vehicles
  • Always follow safety protocols & maintain professionalism
  • Learn effectively & efficiently throughout a fast-paced hybrid training schedule
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, workload, and deadlines
  • Pass the mid-point & end-point programme assessments to graduate from the programme

What You'll Bring
  • Prior experience with tools, diagnostics, or repair processes - through formal education, professional work experience, or personal projects
  • NVQ/IMI diploma in vehicle maintenance is desirable, but practical know-how and willingness to learn on the job are welcome
  • Holding a Full UK or EU Driving Licence for at least 1 year by start date
  • Eager to embrace a fast-paced hands-on training programme with enthusiasm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Safety-first attitude
  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional conduct; able to represent Tesla positively
  • Willingness to travel to different Tesla office locations or events when required
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends, mornings and evenings
  • Not be in full-time education when the programme starts
