Apprentice Motor Mechanic Job Description

The role of an Apprentice Motor Mechanic involves working in a dynamic and growing team environment.

As an Apprentice, you will be involved in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, utilizing specialized tools and equipment provided by the employer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle vehicles with care, ensuring all reasonable measures are taken to prevent damage while on the premises for repair or service.
  • Maintain and develop skill levels in all aspects of vehicle repair, service, and maintenance.
  • Utilize Special Tools, Service Test, Service Equipment, and training provided to improve customer service levels and workshop efficiency.
  • Attend internal and external training courses as directed by management.
  • Ensure the work area is kept tidy and clean.
  • Communicate any additional work necessary to the Workshop Foreman or Service Adviser.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program with off-site requirements for different phases.
  • Possession of a full, clean driving licence.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Self-motivation.
