The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to advance their career in a fast-moving team. We are expanding our IT Service Desk and are recruiting a Desktop Support Specialist for our Cork Office, with travel to the Limerick office expected.

The Role
  • Providing 1st / 2nd level Helpdesk Support onsite and remotely
  • Monitor Service Desk Queue
  • Installation, configuration and support of PCs running Windows 10 & 11
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software and network connectivity issues on PCs/Printers
  • Asset management
  • Determine proper escalation path for non-resolved issues
  • Participate in and contribute to a dynamic IT team
Skills & Attributes
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in deskside support in a corporate IT environment
  • Degree or technical certification in IT or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 & 11, Office 365 and MS Teams
  • PC/Laptop hardware configuration and troubleshooting
  • Mobile devices / Mobile OS
  • AD / TCP/IP network knowledge
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and be a self-starter
  • Proven planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel to regional offices for onsite visits
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
