At GT Ireland we work as trusted advisors, bringing local knowledge and national expertise, with a global presence, to help businesses succeed – wherever they are located. We are recruiting a Desktop Support Specialist for our Cork Office, with occasional travel to our Limerick office.



Responsibilities
  • Providing 1st / 2nd level Helpdesk Support onsite and remotely
  • Monitor Service Desk Queue
  • Installation, Configuration and Support of PCs, running Windows 10 & 11
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software and network connectivity issues on PCs/Printers
  • Management of Assets
  • Determine proper escalation path for non-resolved issues
  • Participate in and contribute to a dynamic IT team


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in deskside support in a corporate IT environment
  • Degree / Technical certification in IT or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 & 11 / Office 365 / MS Teams
  • PC / Laptop hardware configuration and troubleshooting
  • Mobile devices / Mobile OS
  • AD / TCP/IP Network knowledge
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and be a self-starter
  • Proven planning and organisational skills
  • Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • The willingness and ability to work co-operatively with others as part of a team
  • Frequent travel to our regional offices for onsite visits
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
