Shipping Coordinator

LetsGetChecked is seeking an experienced Shipping Coordinator to join our team at the Northern Cross - Dublin 11 facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of shipping operations, including ocean, air, and ground transportation, to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient delivery and receipt of goods.

• Shipping and Receiving Management: Coordinate, schedule, and oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring adherence to schedules and deadlines. Manage logistics for ocean, air, and ground transportation, including negotiations with carriers and logistics providers.
• Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork. Ensure compliance with national and international shipping regulations and standards, and act as the owner of the Quality Management shipping procedure.
• Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to support shipping and receiving activities. Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate and timely handling of products.
• Vendor and Carrier Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with shipping vendors, carriers, and freight forwarders. Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and service providers.
• Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy. Address and resolve any discrepancies or damages in shipments.
• Cost Management: Work towards minimizing shipping costs while ensuring efficient and timely delivery. Prepare and analyze logistics budget and cost reports.
• Technology and Systems: Utilize ERP and logistics software for shipment tracking and inventory management. Implement new technologies to improve shipping and logistics processes.
• Safety and Security: Ensure a safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Oversee the security of shipments and warehousing.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a shipping or logistics coordination role, with knowledge of international and domestic regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP and logistics software.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
