Trade Centre Manager - Building, Plumbing & Electrical

Are you a natural leader with a passion for construction, customer service, and team development? We're looking for a Trade Centre Manager to oversee a thriving Building, Plumbing & Electrical department for a leading home and hardware retailer supplying trade professionals and DIY enthusiasts across the region.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a key department, working closely with senior leadership to develop and implement a business plan that drives sales, service excellence, and operational success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Building, Plumbing & Electrical Trade Centre.

  • Drive sales and margin growth through customer relationship building and market insight.

  • Collaborate with directors and senior managers on business planning and execution.

  • Manage stock levels, reordering, and merchandising across core product lines.

  • Coach and motivate a high-performing team to deliver outstanding customer service.

About You:

  • Proven sales and/or management experience in the construction or building materials sector.

  • Deep knowledge of the construction industry and experience dealing with trade professionals.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Commercially astute with strong organisation and problem-solving abilities.

  • Confident with IT systems and basic accounting.
