Our client services include providing SGS R&D Analysts and technical support staff on-site to fulfill staffing requirements (Scientific In-sourcing), under the supervision of ISL technical and operational teams. Like all SGS personnel, they are committed to upholding stringent technical and GMP standards, ensuring the safety of medications for the multitude of patients relying on the products we test.

Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced R&D Analyst to join our growing Scientific In-sourcing team.

Job Overview

Position: R&D Analyst in Scientific In-sourcing. Location: Ireland (site-based). Employment type: Contract. Seniority: Mid-Senior level.

Responsibilities
  • Experience in development, verification & validation of analytical test methods for injectables, hydrogels, polymers, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, Dissolution, GPC test method development and validation.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues with HPLC, Dissolution, GPC methods and equipment.
  • Experience in developing analytical tests such as Karl Fischer, NMR, GC, DSC.
  • Experience in a GLP environment.
  • Experience in reviewing analytical protocols, reports, and data reports.
  • Experience in reviewing lot-release data as part of analytical testing.
  • Experience and deep understanding of USP, ICH guidelines for HPLC, Dissolution and other analytical test methods.
  • Experience in managing a team of analysts to provide technical guidance and review work.
Qualifications
  • Science graduate in Chemistry or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years' GMP experience.
  • Experience with analytical technologies and troubleshooting skills (HPLC, GC, UV, PSD, XRPD, wet chemistry, dissolution, etc.).
  • Team player with flexibility to evolving needs and strong customer service mentality.
  • Excellent quality and safety standards.
  • Aptitude in lab computer systems, including LIMS and Trackwise.
