Insurance Client Executive - Munster Region

We are seeking a talented and pro-active individual to join Marsh Ireland as a Client Executive. This role can be based in our Cork or Limerick offices and is ideal for someone with a strong background in Corporate or Commercial insurance, in a Client Executive, Broking, or Commercial Underwriting environment.

We will rely on you to:

Relationship Management
  • Seek and build strong relationships at executive and operational levels and communicate the client's strategy across Marsh resources, including a full understanding of the client's buying styles and risk and insurance requirements.
  • Manage a portfolio of predominantly commercial, corporate and multinational clients.
  • Act as an ambassador for Marsh with the client and within the insurance industry.
  • Coordinate communication between the client and service team members.
  • Understand client business issues, needs and expectations.
  • Seek feedback on Marsh's service through ongoing client dialogue.
Client Service
  • Identify the client's risk management, risk financing and insurance needs and objectives.
  • Actively monitor vulnerable client relationships and report if at risk to the appropriate team.
  • Provide leadership by example of proactive and enthusiastic service levels.
  • Act as a referral point for the resolution of complex client queries internally and externally.
  • Agree and set renewal client service and rolling risk and claims management strategy with the client in line with Consumer Protection Code and Marsh DES guidelines.
  • Use Acturis as the client record management tool.
Sales & Business Growth
  • Lead and develop new business initiatives including referral generation.
  • Work with Marsh Business Development Team to identify, strategize and prospect potential new clients.
  • Achieve pre-agreed new business sales targets.
  • Leverage existing client book of business to obtain expanded sales.
  • Ensure new and expanded business is properly recorded within Marsh systems and tools.
People
  • Ensure a personal development plan is in place to grow knowledge of the client's business sector, commercial knowledge, insurance and risk, and technical knowledge.
  • Assist with the personal development of other team members.
What you will need to have
  • CIP qualified.
  • Experience in a similar role and strong knowledge of the industry.
  • The ability to maintain a high level of client service delivery adapting to client requirements and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Strong financial awareness and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent business and market awareness and a strong network.
  • Results-focused with the ability to deliver against challenging targets.
  • Clear lines of communication with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify areas to improve efficiency, accuracy and analysis and suggest improvements.

  • Working towards ACII / Fully ACII qualified.
