Overview

Job Title: Senior Spa Massage Therapist
Reports To: Spa Manager

Responsibilities
  • To provide professional and engaging wellness therapies and massage therapies to clients. To provide a variety of treatments to clients and ensuring the highest standards of guest care and customer satisfaction are always maintained.
  • Carry out all tasks in accordance with procedures as outlined in the Department Standards Manual.
  • Answer the telephone and handle bookings/inquiries.
  • Deliver a variety of spa services in a safe and comfortable manner.
  • Maintain equipment and sample inventory of products.
  • Keep documentation and update client files.
  • Keep a clean and stocked room.
  • Suggest and promote retail products or additional services.
  • Apply best practices and stay up to date with market trends.
  • Carry out checks to ensure that treatment rooms and wider spa areas are clean, well-stocked with equipment and products, safe and hygienic.
  • Ensure spa equipment is working and coordinate safety and maintenance checks and repairs with the maintenance team where necessary.
  • Monitor and control stock levels and inform the spa manager when replenishment is needed.
  • Provide direct support to the spa manager when required (e.g., assisting with stock ordering and stock control or training of staff).
Communication
  • Bring customer comments and issues to the attention of your Head of Department.
  • Maintain effective communications with all Departments with specific attention to Front Office.
  • Ensure all guests are greeted with a friendly welcome and offered the highest standards of guest care and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify maintenance issues and report accordingly.
  • Provide a direct communication line with the spa manager to inform them of any customer care issues or breaches in company procedures.
  • Act as a role model for other junior level therapists; assist with mentoring and training new starters.
Health and Safety
  • Have full knowledge of and act upon the Hotel & Golf Links Fire and Health and Safety Procedures.
  • Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations.
  • Complete all duties with due care for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and guests.
  • Maintain the highest standards of personal presentation while wearing the company-supplied uniform, in accordance with Department Standards Manual.
  • Report incidents, accidents, fire, loss or damage as applicable.
Occasional Duties
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
  • Attend meetings and Portmarnock Resort and Jameson Golf Links Training.
