Overview

Version 1 is looking for an experienced consultant to join its Managed Services team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of solutions for mid to enterprise level organisations. We are looking for an individual who enjoys a fast pace, can prioritise workload, and is eager to gain industry experience. You will have solid background in Microsoft and/or Oracle technologies with a Continuous Service Improvement mindset. This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to progress their existing skills with a leading Microsoft Gold Partner and Oracle Platinum Partner working with cutting edge technologies.

This exciting opportunity will see the candidate working within a team of experienced Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrators, exercising, and developing the wide range of necessary skills that distinguishes a well-rounded consultant.

Responsibilities
  • The technical ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • A collaborative team member and worked effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Develops understanding of client's business, applications, and users.
  • Effectively communicate technical issues to business users.
  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement continuous service improvements.
  • Client facing skills.
Qualifications
  • 5 years + experience (including 3-year specialist experience in an Oracle DBA support role)
  • IT or Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of the constraints and challenges of supporting a secure, high-availability IT environments.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Working experience in the following technology areas:
  • Oracle Database Administration.
  • SQL Server Database Administration
  • Red Hat Linux or Oracle Linux Administration.
  • Oracle Exadata Administration a plus
  • Oracle RAC Administration
  • Oracle ASM Administration
  • Database Backup and Recovery procedures (RMAN)
  • Oracle Data Guard configuration and administration.
