This leading hotel group is currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to source and win new local and global business for the cluster, collaborating with senior sales management to ensure that objectives are achieved in the Sales business plan.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Represent the hotels at sales team meetings, internal & external customer-led events as appropriate.
  2. Execute a proactive sales plan to develop and nurture new accounts across all owned segments for the hotels.
  3. Identify and manage new opportunities in the market in line with hotels' strategy and across the wider group portfolio.
  4. Collaborate with the Account Management Team to nurture existing and secure new opportunities.
  5. Foster a culture of cross-selling, referrals, and sharing of leads.
  6. Adopt a strategic approach for key segments and identify opportunities to drive revenue and reduce costs.
  7. Participate in all sales activities including telesales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, fam trips, social events, and overseas sales trips, as necessary.
  8. Work with senior sales management on rate strategy, budget planning, forecasting for owned segments, and identifying & analysing opportunities.
  9. Monitor monthly corporate account production, identify decreases, and take necessary actions.
  10. Analyze GDS production reports & market intelligence to develop new leads in collaboration with senior sales management.
  11. Produce timely monthly & ad hoc reports.
  12. Implement actions from quarterly sales activity plans to support business needs.

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum two years' experience in a similar hotel sales role.
  • Commercial awareness with strong analytical skills to understand & identify business trends.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Proficiency with sales tools such as CRM, BI tools, Market Intelligence tools, Solver.
  • Results-driven and sales-focused.
  • Ability to develop long-lasting relationships through account management and promote cross-selling across the group.
  • Experience working with global clients & agencies.
  • Knowledge of the Dublin market is desirable.
