Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine Laboratory Testing and Sampling
  • Verify cleaning using microbiological swabbing
  • Carry out microbiological testing and Trichinella Testing
  • Monitor carcass quality
  • Communicate with and report to customer requests for technical information
  • Maintain and update Laboratory Procedures Manual
  • Ensure daily tasks are completed and results are actioned where required
  • Review Results Records Weekly and ensure all records are completed correctly and signed off
  • Generate reports for QA Manager and Veterinary Inspector Weekly
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and legislation, liaising with DAFF and DAFM officials
  • Implement and maintain HACCP & hygiene requirements
  • Review product and process development
  • Manage Sanitation & Cleaning
  • Assist in managing the Food Safety & Quality Management System
  • Maintain standards such as BRC, Bord Bia MPQAS, and retailer standards
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Company and Quality Assurance Manager
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualification in Science or Agriculture
  • At least 2 years of work experience in QA
  • Food factory work experience
  • Teamwork, attention to detail, communication, laboratory experience, quality assurance, science/agri science qualification
