The Mercantile Hotel has officially opened its doors in the heart of Dublin City and we're growing our Front Office team. We're looking for a welcoming, professional, and service-driven Receptionist to join us as we continue to build a reputation for warm hospitality and excellent guest experiences. This is a brilliant opportunity to join one of the city's newest hotel teams and help shape a high quality, people first culture right at reception where every guest journey begins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a great first impression.
  • Manage check-in/check-out procedures efficiently while ensuring all guest needs are met.
  • Provide helpful information on hotel services, local attractions, and events in the area.
  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and in-person queries in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Handle guest feedback with care and professionalism, working with management to resolve any issues.
  • Work closely with the Reservations Manager to support room allocations and group bookings.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe reception area, following health and safety standards.
  • Carry out administrative duties including billing, cash handling, and credit card transactions, following company policies.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role, ideally in a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
  • A friendly and approachable personality with a genuine passion for guest service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with hotel booking systems or property management systems (PMS) is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
