We're looking for a passionate, creative and self-starting Social Media Content Creator to join our central marketing team at MHL Hotel Collection. Based in Galway, this role is dedicated to producing and managing social content across three of our distinctive properties in the West of Ireland — Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate, The Galmont Hotel, and The Harbour Hotel. You'll have a hands-on role in concepting, capturing, editing and publishing content, bringing each hotel's story and experience to life across Instagram, TikTok and Meta platforms.

You'll report directly to the Group Social Media Manager and work closely with the wider Group Digital Marketing team to bring each hotel's story and experience to life across Instagram, TikTok and Meta platforms.

About MHL Hotel Collection

The MHL Hotel Collection is a collection of unique and individual hotels in key city and resort locations throughout Ireland. From the bustling city centres of Dublin, Galway and Limerick to picturesque and historic estates close to Wicklow and Galway City- each of our hotels has its own distinct personality and charm.

This individual will be responsible for:

Content Creation

  • Develop and execute creative social media content, particularly video-first formats (Instagram Reels, TikTok).
  • Regular on-site content creation at Glenlo Abbey, The Galmont, and The Harbour Hotel.
  • Work independently and in collaboration with the Group Social Media Manager to storyboard, film, and edit compelling brand-led content.
  • Edit on mobile using tools such as CapCut, InShot, Final Cut Pro, etc.
  • Uphold each hotel's brand tone and visual standards.

Social Media Management

  • Plan and schedule content using Brandwatch (formerly Falcon).
  • Manage social content calendars, asset collection, post approvals, and community engagement.
  • Write clear, compelling copy tailored to each platform and hotel.
  • Monitor content performance and prepare monthly reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, creator formats, and tourism-related content shifts.

You'll need to have:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing social media for brands or agencies.
  • Proven ability to ideate, shoot, edit, and publish short-form video content.
  • Advanced knowledge of Instagram Reels and TikTok content formats.
  • Proficiency in editing tools such as CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong copywriting skills — excellent spelling, grammar, and an eye for tone.
  • Ability to juggle multiple brand voices and content calendars.
  • Comfortable working independently and travelling locally to capture content.
  • Strong local knowledge of the West of Ireland and a natural flair for showcasing destinations, people and experiences.
  • Experience using scheduling tools like Brandwatch or similar platforms.
