Job Description

Direct Medics are working in partnership with a client in Mullingar to find an experienced and dedicated Staff Grade Speech & Language Therapist who will be providing a comprehensive specialist acute adult speech therapy service. The ideal candidate will provide a quality speech and language therapy service to adults with communication and swallowing difficulties in an acute setting, including assessment and intervention for adult inpatients. This is a temporary locum role for 3 months initially with full-time hours required (35 hours per week).

Requirements
  • A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and registered as an SLT with CORU
  • Certification and competence in managing dysphagia/feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing disorders
  • Previous experience working in an acute service is desirable; consideration will be given to new graduate SLTs with recent clinical placements in a hospital setting
  • Full UK/ROI Driver's License and access to a car on appointment
  • Right to live and work in the UK/Ireland
