As a Business Developer, you will focus on a portfolio of key contractors & fabricators critical to the Hilti Pharma, Datacentre and Energy sectors. You will be responsible for creating and executing a strategy to increase the adoption of Hilti Pre-fabrication solutions within this eco-system. Additionally, you will help coordinate projects within capture teams, collaborating closely with Hilti teams.What does the role involve?As a Business Developer in the Industry segment, your primary objective will be to strategically build and expand relationships with complex clients across the value chain within the Irish domestic market. Your focus will be to identify, engage, and support Key Players in the segment addressing their specific needs and challenges through the Systematic Account Development approach.

You will work with external stakeholders to enhance segment expertise on Pharma, Data Center, and Energy applications, increasing understanding of segment dynamics, pipeline, and engineering requirements.

You will collaborate closely with the Sales Team, Regional and Global Segment Managers, BD Communities, Engineering, Project Management Office (PMO), and Fieldwire teams to drive profitable growth.

You will act as the primary expert for the segments in Ireland, leveraging your knowledge of market trends, applications, product offerings, competitive landscape, and Hilti's value proposition. This includes collaborating internally with the PMO on project specifics during the design phase and conducting training sessions for key stakeholders.

You will also play a key role in shaping and executing segment strategies, go-to-market plans, and brand awareness initiatives, working closely with the Technical Director.
  • Accountable for the Development of Key Contractors: Oversee the development of key contractors in the Off Site Manufacturing (OSM) sector through account standardization, project specification, sales development, and relationship management to increase Hilti's pre-fabrication offerings.
  • Strategic Development and Implementation: Lead account strategies and collaborate with Hilti counterparts at regional and global levels. Manage the project pipeline and focus on projects utilizing OSM as a key scope component.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide insights to confirm or update segment strategies based on market trends.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain clear communication within the team and with clients, acting as the account owner.
  • Account Development: Identify and develop new accounts in collaboration with sales, engineering, and large project teams.
  • Account Development Plan (ADP): Develop and lead the ADP for Segment Focus Accounts, establishing clear strategies.
  • Proactive Account Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships within assigned accounts.
  • Sales Support: Support the sales team with opportunity pipeline development, solutions, quotations, and negotiations.
  • Customer Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with global and local teams on complex opportunities, leading meetings and calls.
  • Training Coordination: Organize segment-specific training for the sales team.
  • Brand Awareness Initiatives: Implement activities to increase brand presence.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work with regional and global managers on sub-segment strategies.
What you need is:
  • Engineering / Technical background with strong commercial skills and relevant experience.
