As an MYP/DP Physics Teacher, you will deliver engaging learning experiences that inspire curiosity, develop critical thinking, and prepare students for success in further education and beyond. You will work within the Science Department to teach IB MYP and DP Physics and contribute to the wider school through co-curricular activities, pastoral care, and collaborative professional learning.
Start Date: August 2025
Responsibilities- Teach Physics to MYP and DP students, ensuring high expectations and ambitious outcomes for all learners.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with IB requirements, using assessment to inform teaching and track progress.
- Differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs, including EAL and AEN learners.
- Integrate technology to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Foster a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and curiosity.
- Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum, resources, and enrichment opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression across the school.
- Actively participate in school events, trips, and co-curricular activities.
- Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing at all times.
- A fully qualified teacher with a degree in Physics (or related field) and a recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Physics at IB MYP and DP level, ideally in an international school setting.
- A passion for science education and the ability to inspire and motivate young people.
- Strong understanding of the IB philosophy, assessment principles, and inquiry-based learning.
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Skilled at integrating educational technology into lessons to enhance learning.
- A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional growth.
- Flexible, adaptable, and resilient, with a positive approach to challenges.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
