You will be initially responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Laboratories ISO 17025 compliance and certification. You will play an integral role in supporting and driving our ongoing programme for continuous improvement within our Laboratory processes and operations that contribute to the overall growth of the department. Once implemented you will have the opportunity to work on the implementation and maintenance of other ISO accreditations across the Company.
Role and Responsibilities- Develop and implement ISO17025 procedures, SOPs, registers, and related documentation.
- Monitor and ensure day‑to‑day compliance with Laboratory ISO17025 tasks.
- Schedule and manage the internal audit process from initiation through to implementation and maintenance.
- Act as authorised document controller for all Laboratory documents, ensuring correct revisions are in use.
- Assist in uploading Laboratory data to the LIMS system.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with external auditors and safety partners.
- Prepare, collect and compile compliance data for auditors and internal departments and share as needed with relevant regulatory bodies.
- Work with the Compliance team to ensure processes, procedures and document control systems align with the Company structure.
- Maintain and update the Laboratory Quality Management System.
- Stay up to date with legislative and regulatory changes that may impact the business and liaise with the Laboratory Manager on actions required.
- Ensure regulatory standards are logged, escalated, and reported to the Laboratory Manager.
- Provide regulatory guidance during method design and development as required.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and research skills with acute attention to detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Positive, innovative attitude with the ability to take on new assignments and projects with an open mind.
- Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to prioritise.
- Good strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to align multiple teams to meet a common goal.
- Minimum degree in compliance, science, quality management or related fields; prior experience in a Compliance role is desirable.
- Minimum 3 years of experience delivering ISO 17025.
- Auditing qualification and/or experience is an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of the regulatory landscape to support lab development and growth is a distinct advantage.
- Working visa/permit for Ireland.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Strong IT skills including MS Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint; proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and company databases.
