The Role

The Food & Beverage Porter plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the hotels food and beverage department. This hands-on position involves maintaining cleanliness, managing stock and deliveries, and ensuring all service and storage areas are organized and well-maintained to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Receive, check, and organise all restaurant and bar deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO), provides assistance to Kitchen Porter with kitchen deliveries if needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas, including dry stores, cold rooms, and the keg room.
  • Restock bars and service stations with beverages, glassware, and other supplies.
  • Assist in regular stock takes and inventory control.
  • Perform deep cleaning duties in kitchens, bars, and service areas.
  • Clean and maintain a tidy back yard and external service areas.
  • Empty bottle bins and dispose of waste and recyclables in line with hotel policies.
  • Transport food, beverages, and equipment between service areas.
  • Support waitstaff and kitchen teams during busy periods.

Who We Are Looking For

A candidate with:
  • Previous experience in hospitality or food service is an advantage.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
