As our new Business Development Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing our strong footing in the Financial Services sector in Ireland, leading large sales opportunities, and managing client engagements, among other responsibilities. The role will be part of a successful, growing team focused on enterprise opportunities, comprising salespeople who generate new opportunities and lead responses to large private sector technology programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead large sales opportunities (7/8 figure sales) through our Commercial team and strategic technology partnerships (Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, Red Hat).
  • Manage smaller sales opportunities and bids independently or with the team.
  • Oversee execution of contracts, client engagement, commercials, contracting, delivery, and project mobilisation.
  • Manage customer accounts and partner engagements with Microsoft and AWS.
  • Support and produce bids and tender responses.
  • Coordinate with project managers, bid management, advisory services, and delivery teams to prepare and submit high-quality bids, including documentation, tender responses, case studies, and demonstrations.
  • Lead pre-qualification processes to identify winnable opportunities.
  • Liaise with Delivery teams for resource allocation for sales and bid activities.
  • Respond to detailed customer requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to prospects, clients, and at customer events.
  • Collaborate with Partner Account Managers and Commercial Operations to deliver presentations, tenders, and contracts.
  • Support all stages of the bid process lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Proven success as a Business Development Director delivering IT services and solutions in the Financial Services sector in Ireland.
  • Knowledge of the sector's buying cycles, procurement processes, frameworks, channel partners (AWS/Microsoft), and complex bidding environments.
  • Strong influencing skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent written skills for tender and internal documentation, with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
