Join SMBC Group EMEA as a Talent Acquisition Partner – Dublin
Are you a recruitment expert ready to make a real impact across a global financial institution? SMBC Group is seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Partner to join our growing team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce across our EMEA operations.
What you do:
As a key member of our Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence, you'll lead end-to-end recruitment for permanent roles up to Executive Director level. From inclusive hiring campaigns to specialist and volume recruitment, you'll be the go-to expert for delivering exceptional hiring experiences and driving our employer brand forward. You'll also have the opportunity to develop and support on wider HR activities also.

- Lead full-cycle recruitment across a diverse portfolio of roles, with a particular focus on technology roles
- Partner with talent acquisition and hiring managers to design and deliver strategic recruitment plans
Business Area
Your role will be part of the growing EMEA Talent Acquisition team closely and alongside the London Talent Acquisition team. Your role will functionally report into Talent Acquisition Manager in London, and locally into the CEO of SMFD. The London Talent Acquisition team is ~12 people, with the EMEA Talent Acquisition function growing and maturing. You will also be supported by the wider Centres of Excellence in London, including HR and the Communications and Marketing team.
This role will assist with the expansion of Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Dublin ("SMFD"), a wholly owned subsidiary of SMBC Group, which provides intra-group services to the EMEA business across a variety of control and support functions. The next phase of growth will have a strong focus on Technology and Innovation services. SMFD is co-located with several other SMBC group entities, in a contemporary new office in the heart of Dublin's Georgian quarter.
Position Description
About the Role
As a key member of our Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence, you'll lead end-to-end recruitment for permanent roles up to Executive Director level. From inclusive hiring campaigns to specialist and volume recruitment, you'll be the go-to expert for delivering exceptional hiring experiences and driving our employer brand forward.
You'll collaborate with sourcing agents, business stakeholders, HR Centres of Excellence, and external partners across different locations to attract top talent and ensure a seamless, data-driven recruitment process. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the business and the opportunity to influence hiring strategy during a period of exciting transformation. In addition to the recruiter role, there are opportunities for involvement in wider local HR activities including but not limited to communication campaigns, employee onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
Given the accelerated growth of SMFD in Ireland, you will also provide generalist HR advice and support to the business as it continues to scale.
What You'll Do
- Partner with talent acquisition leads and hiring managers to design and deliver strategic recruitment plans
- Grow and manage a local contingent workforce as the business expands
- Lead full-cycle recruitment across a diverse portfolio of roles, with a particular focus on technology roles
- Work with EMEA TA Manager and CRO to grow and Champion SMFD and SMBC Group's employer brand and inclusive hiring practices
- Build talent pipelines and direct sourcing strategies
- Manage vendor relationships and recruitment data insights
- Support transformation initiatives and continuous improvement project
- Provide generalist HR advice and support to the MD of SMFD, and the local leadership team and hiring managers.
- You will be expected to travel between Dublin and London regularly.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in in-house or RPO recruitment, ideally within the technology candidate market is essential.
- A generalist HR background with experience in the Irish market.
- An enthusiastic desire to help build and shape the future of SMFD from a TA & HR perspective
- Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A strong passion for inclusive hiring and candidate experience
- Proficiency with ATS platforms (SuccessFactors a plus) and IT literacy (mainly Microsoft software suite)
