Sales and Business Development Manager

Our client, based in Nenagh Co. Tipperary, a leading supplier of water treatment components who operate within the domestic, industrial, and commercial sectors, are seeking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious Sales and Business Development Manager to join their team.

The Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales and Business Development Manager will be a trusted advisor to customers and will be responsible for building and maintaining long-term profitable relationships.

Other responsibilities include:

  1. Developing new business and proactive development of sales pipeline
  2. Sales strategy development & execution working individually and with existing sales teams
  3. Identifying new opportunities in both existing and complementary sectors
  4. Support bid process including application, fulfilment, demos, and pricing
  5. Strategic Account management
  6. Business development with existing customers, identifying upsell opportunities
  7. Customer relationship management
  8. Uncovering and consistently sharing industry and sector intel with Management and existing sales teams, to further inform business and product strategy
  9. Active engagement with product management function to inform problem or opportunity-oriented roadmap
  10. Document and provide input internally on customer trends and demands
  11. Author marketing material such as white papers sharing trends and subject matter expertise to further develop the company's position in the market.

Skills & Experience that we need:

  1. 5+ years of sales and business development experience in similar industry, providing direct support to customers during and post-implementation.
  2. Ability to translate technical and business requirements and adjust communication approach depending on audience.
  3. Strong technical and product background
  4. Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with the customer leading to a deep understanding of their products and long-term business strategies
  5. Ability to build strong internal and external relationships to support the delivery and implementation while enhancing the customer experience across all touch points
  6. Experience showcasing products and services as a strategic fit for customers through sales presentation development and delivery, conferences, and networking events
  7. Ability to work individually and within a small team
  8. Ability to capture and identify integrated opportunities with end-to-end solution delivery requirements
  9. Available to travel to visit clients and attend conferences.

The Offer:

This is a permanent position with a salary expected to be in the €50K range, with expected OTE of €70K plus per annum, depending on the candidate's experience, with an excellent benefits package, hybrid work schedule, and career development opportunities.
