About the Role

The successful Area Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with retailers and businesses within the furniture and bedding sector in Ireland. They will focus on expanding market share, securing new business, and ensuring excellent customer service while representing a leading UK-based mattress manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to expand the company's presence in Ireland.
  • Identify and engage with potential new customers, while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts.
  • Present and promote the company's range of mattresses to retailers, furniture stores, and other relevant businesses.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to secure profitable business agreements.
  • Provide market insights and competitor analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and customer meetings to enhance business opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing and customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective business development and account management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of sales experience in retail and/or furniture sales.
  • Strong understanding of the furniture or bedding industry is desirable.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
  • Fully expensed company vehicle provided.
