The Opportunity

Join Our Dynamic Retail Pricing Team as a Pricing Actuary

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Pricing Actuary to become a vital part of our Retail Pricing Team. Although the position is officially based in Elm Park, Dublin 4, we embrace a highly flexible hybrid work model that allows for a balanced work-life integration.

Role Overview:

As a Pricing Actuary, you will collaborate with a talented team of pricing actuaries, trainee pricing actuaries, and analysts to deliver exceptional pricing analysis for our Retail Lines of Business, including Private Car, Home, Van, and Pet insurance. You will also engage with various teams across the company to meet both business and customer needs effectively

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute established processes, including data preparation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Utilize data manipulation languages such as SAS, R, or Python to prepare data for pricing analysis.
• Leverage available and emerging datasets to develop innovative pricing strategies and identify market trends.
• Automate and enhance processes to improve efficiency.
• Build and update technical models in accordance with Allianz Global P&C best practices.
• Manage and revise pricing tariffs, ensuring proper governance, approval, and implementation of price changes.
• Conduct impact analyses of pricing model changes and communicate findings to senior management, ensuring clarity and documentation.
• Collaborate with product portfolio managers to share insights and develop new solutions to business challenges.
• Contribute technical pricing expertise to organizational strategic projects.
• Participate in international group pricing initiatives as needed

Key Requirements / Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Actuary
• Proficiency in relevant pricing and data manipulation software, such as Emblem, SAS, R, Python
• Proven ability to communicate and deliver technical solutions to business stakeholders
