Business Development Executive

Introduction
Our client, a well-established construction and facilities management company, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development & Bid Executive to join the team. This key role will drive our growth by identifying and securing new projects. As a key player, you'll be responsible for the entire bid lifecycle, from lead generation to contract award.
Reporting To: Group Sales and Marketing Director
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Qualification: Identify, qualify, and nurture leads. Deeply understand client needs and challenges.
- Bid Management: Own the end-to-end bid process, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to deadlines.
- Compelling Bid Documentation: Craft winning bid proposals that showcase the company's expertise and differentiate us from competitors.
- Pre-Construction Excellence: Collaborate with operations, estimating, and marketing to develop innovative and winning solutions.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships, exceeding expectations throughout the sales cycle.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activity.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of our business development strategies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven success in a bid or business development role within the construction or related industry.
- A track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
- In-depth knowledge of the Irish construction landscape and key players.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on persuasive bid writing.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Experience with document design software is a plus.
