Accounts Payable Administrator – Cork

Part of Grafton Group Plc, Chadwicks Group is the market leader in the builder's merchanting industry in the Republic of Ireland. The core business is through the traditional Builders Merchants division. Main brands include Chadwicks, Cork Builders Providers, Davies & Telfords.In addition, and through organic growth and acquisitions the Group have established a range of brands which are close to the core but offer a uniquely different range of products.These include Heitons Steel, Panelling Centre, Morgans Timber, Proline & Sitetech.

Principle Objective

The successful candidate will work closely with the Branch Manager, supporting a broad range of accounts payable duties including processing purchase ledger invoices and performing supplier reconciliations. They will liaise with the Internal Sales, Purchasing, and Commercial teams, as well as suppliers, to resolve any discrepancies. Additionally, the role involves managing stock input, prioritising workload effectively, and maintaining strong written and verbal communication skills. A positive attitude, flexibility, willingness to learn, and an enjoyment of working collaboratively with others are essential for success in this position.

Knowledge & Experience

• Previous experience / knowledge of the accounts payable process is desirable
• Proven ability of working to deadlines with strong attention to detail
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Can do positive attitude
