Lead Food Safety Auditor | County Monaghan | 1 Year Fixed Term Contract | Monday - Friday | Attractive Salary + Benefits

Vickerstock are partnering with a leading European food manufacturer, renowned for supplying high-quality products to major retailers and foodservice partners around the globe. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement, this business has built a reputation as an industry leader.

We are seeking a Lead Food Safety Auditor on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with third-party and customer standards. This role requires in-depth knowledge of food safety legislation, industry best practices, and the ability to communicate the importance of accurate record-keeping and policy implementation across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support audits across multiple sites, including internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Conduct gap analyses on new standards and implement required changes within the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Investigate non-conformities, drive corrective actions, and report on compliance performance.
  • Manage testing programmes (e.g., microbiology, residue) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train, support, and develop site teams to maintain high food safety and quality standards.
  • Promote a strong culture of food safety and compliance across the organisation.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Food Technology, Food Safety, Nutrition, Agricultural Science, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of food industry standards (e.g., BRCGS, Bord Bia, Red Tractor) and customer codes of practice.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food hygiene.
  • Auditing experience across multiple sites.
  • Ideally, experience working with major retailer customers.
