Working closely with the Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Head chef to provide an exceptional and innovative guest experience.

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in wedding and event management
  • Excellent knowledge of Food and Beverage (including wine)
  • Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills and the ability to influence change
  • Extensive experience in F&B staff training, knowledge and skills, grooming, customer service and service etiquette
  • Experience with report writing, e-mailing, training plans, administration, table plans, menus
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve a high level of performance and customer service
  • Attention to detail and a strong desire to exceed all our guests' expectations is essential
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent communications skills both oral and written
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and ability to lead a team

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and running of the daily Conference and Banqueting operations, giving support and guidance to fellow Food & Beverage personnel as well as monitor job performance to ensure a successful experience by our guests
  • To generate new ideas for service and products that will maintain a competitive and leading edge over our competitive set and generate additional revenue
  • Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all Meeting and Function suites while maintaining standards of food, beverage, and service specifications
  • Review all written communication, i.e., daily/weekly BEOs to determine appropriate staffing levels, room/station assignments, buffet decor and enhancements as they relate to Food & Beverage room set-ups.
  • To manage, train and develop the team ensuring all SOP's are adhered to
  • Communicate information to the kitchen and other supportive departments prior to and during service.
  • Inspect and oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of all meeting and function suites
  • Co-ordinate with Wedding & Events and kitchen teams to ensure the highest level of product delivery.
  • To organise weekly briefing with the Conference and Banqueting team and Beverage Supervisors to discuss and effectively cover all forthcoming events and review coverage of past week
  • To ensure service briefings are carried out as appropriate regarding core standards (dress code, hygiene, service procedure)
