Role Overview

CarGurus is looking for a Sales Development Representative, Outbound to play a critical role in our sales growth. You'll work closely with our Senior Account Executive team to identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities with some of the largest automotive dealership groups in the UK. Your efforts will be key to driving revenue and increasing market penetration. This isn't just a phone-bashing role; you'll be a strategic partner in our enterprise sales process, building relationships and shaping the future of our business.

CarGurus' growing customer base will have various concerns and questions about CarGurus, so candidates will need to employ routine customer service skills, be able to listen and respond to dealers, and resolve all issues in a timely manner. In this role, you must be comfortable conveying issues to the larger CarGurus organization. As such, candidates must bring strong analytical thinking, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

What You'll Do
  • Generate new leads through outbound calls, emails, and Outreach
  • Qualify leads by understanding their needs, pain points, and business challenges
  • Articulate CarGurus values proposition to dealers, handle requests and escalate when needed
  • Display strong communication skills, and ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrate persistence, tenacity, ability to overcome obstacles and handle objections
  • Display strong prioritisation, organisation and time management skills
  • Develop and consistently meet or exceed all assigned quotas and key performance metrics
  • Log all sales activity completely and accurately in Salesforce
Who You Are
  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales or lead generation role
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and lead generation tools is a plus
