Business Development Manager – Laboratory Services
Location: Home-based in Ireland (preferably near a major city or central location)
Travel: Regular travel to client sites and HQ
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive new revenue growth in the laboratory services sector. This role is focused on proactive business generation – not account management – and offers the chance to shape a new commercial approach within an established market leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and win new business opportunities nationwide.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through research, networking, and outreach.
- Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and secure competitive agreements.
- Represent the business at industry events and conferences.
- Maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell.
Requirements
- 5+ years' business development experience, ideally in laboratory or technical services.
- Proven track record in securing new business and achieving revenue targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated, organised, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
