Job Description

Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials. Assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.

Requirements

The duties of this post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or have an existing PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual

There are two temporary, part-time, term-time posts based at Drongan Primary School, Drongan.

The hours of work are 27.5 hours per week, as directed by the Line Manager.

The posts are temporary until 26 June 2026.

The full-time salary range is between £24,333 and £25,353 per annum.

The actual part-time, term-time salary range is between £16,398 and £17,085 per annum.
