We have an attractive opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a legal team working within Commercial Litigation. We are looking for a dedicated, positive, team player with a great work ethic and the ability to help manage a busy department.Excellent benefits and salary on offerFully on-site

You will be responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Provide high-level administrative and secretarial support as required, including handling phone calls, managing emails, and travel.
  • Assist with the preparation of basic legal documents and templates, edit, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and court forms.
  • Assist lawyers in preparing presentations.
  • Coordinate the filing and service of legal documents in various courts;
  • Manage electronic files, keeping them organised;
  • Manage matter opening and closing efficiently, from conflict checks and set-up in our practice management system to ensuring accurate client information, drafting of cost agreements, and ensuring deadlines are captured.
  • Handle monthly billing;
  • Diarise court dates and proactively follow up on outstanding document requests.

This person will be diplomatic, confident, highly driven and have excellent attention to detail. To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills:

  • Experienced legal PA (4+ years)
  • Excellent administration skills, high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organised and able to prioritise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is a team player and enjoys collaborating with others.
